At Story Rebels, we are committed to bringing together diverse voices in literature, screenwriting, playwriting, and the blogosphere. We believe in the power of travel to pry open new portals into the imaginations of writers and wanderers. We nourish creativity by practicing wellness wherever we journey. Eligibility
Our Writing Fellowship: Italy 2019 is open to women-identifying writers of all ages. This opportunity is not open to family and friends of our founder. To apply, you must hold or obtain a valid passport from one of the following countries or regions before January 15, 2019. Your passport must remain valid through April 1, 2020.
Size
One Awardee will join up to nine other retreat participants in Italy during the fall of 2019. Additionally, two Honorable Mentions will receive travel vouchers, valued at €250 each, for use toward one Story Rebels Retreat, through December 31, 2020.

Award
Accommodations for four nights inside a Private Room with King-size bed, luxury linen, organic towels and bathrobe, en-suite bathroom, writing desk, fireplace, individually controlled air-conditioning, evening turndown service, and either mountain, vineyard, garden, or sea view during our 2019 retreat to Italy.
Travel stipend of €575 to assist with or cover round trip airfare to Catania-Fontanarossa Airport (CTA).
All ground transportation during our 2019 retreat to Italy.
All activities and excursions during our 2019 retreat to Italy.
All meals, beverages, and snacks during our 2019 retreat to Italy.
A Profile in the Story Rebels Journal.
Application Deadline
December 15, 2018 @5pm (Central European Time).
Announcement Date
On January 15, 2019, we will announce the Awardee and two Honorable Mentions on our website and via our mailing list. We will not send individual notices to each applicant.
Cost
The early bird application fee is €30. After October 15, 2018 the application fee is €45. We do not offer application fee waivers at this time.
The cost of accommodations, roundtrip airfare (up to €575), ground transportation, activities, excursions, meals, beverages, and snacks are sponsored by Story Rebels for one Writing Fellowship Awardee.
